چکیده
Marine debris is a serious problem for marine ecosystems and related coastal activities. We carry out study using in-situ clean-up data (collected by local Japanese company) together with high spatial resolution satellite images to determine how well the can be used estimate amount type of deposited on beaches island in southern Japan. use machine learning techniques analyze find that Shannon's entropy computed from World-View 2 3 imagery Maxar Corp. yields useful detection mapping when compared data. also assign concentration each image pixel visualize distribution debris. The algorithm linking ground truth now areas where no are available.

Coastal Mapping and Change Detection Using High-Resolution IKONOS Satellite Imagery
Shoreline mapping and shoreline change detection are critical in many coastal zone applications. This paper presents results of the semi-automatic mapping of a coastal area of Lake Erie using 4-meter resolution multispectral (XS) and 1-meter resolution panchromatic (Pan) IKONOS Geo stereo images. An overview of the geometric processing of IKONOS imagery is presented. Then, the latest results of...
متن کاملVehicles Detection from Very High Resolution Satellite Imagery
This paper evaluates an inductive learning approach classification technique for vehicle detection and enumeration on very high resolution imagery. It tests pre-processing procedures applied to different images with different atmospheric conditions and automatic detection algorithms for detection and enumeration. This work contributes to the longer term objective that is beyond the scope of thi...

متن کاملObject based change detection of Central Asian Tugai vegetation with very high spatial resolution satellite imagery
Ecological restoration of degraded riparian Tugai forests in north-western China is a key driver to combat desertification in this region. Recent restoration efforts attempt to recover the forest along with its most dominant tree species, Populus euphratica. The present research observed the response of natural vegetation using an object based change detection method on QuickBird (2005) and Wor...
متن کاملMapping Coastal Ecosystems of an Offshore Landfill Island Using Worldview-2 High Resolution Satellite Imagery
* Corresponding author. Abstract – The Worldview-2 satellite imagery with 2-m spatial resolution and 8 spectral bands is used to map the coastal ecosystems for our study site, an offshore island of Singapore. The eastern side of the study area is used as a landfill, while the western part of the island is left natural with rich biodiversity where large stretches of seagrass meadow, mangroves an...
